Whether you want to be right in the middle of the action or prefer helping behind the scenes; whether you love being outdoors or enjoy indoor roles: we’ve got you covered! Volunteer opportunities for this year’s Mountain Games include:

• Being part of the Green Team or Spectator Services to help deliver an outstanding experience for all attendees
• Supporting competitions such as Bike, Climbing, Disc Golf, Fishing, Running, and Whitewater events
• Joining our operations team by helping out at the Awards Ceremonies, Athlete Registration, Athlete Product Distribution, Banner Crew, Mountain Games Eatery (Volunteer F&B), or Volunteer HQ
• Assisting in the Athlete Lounge and VIP areas, helping create a welcoming experience for our guests
• And more!

No experience? No problem! Most volunteer roles require no special skills, and we’ll train you on-site. Some positions may need basic computer skills, the ability to lift heavier items, a motor vehicle background check, or specific certifications, but all details are listed in Rosterfy so you can find the role that fits you best.

By volunteering for the Mountain Games you are volunteering for the Vail Valley Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to provide leadership in arts, athletics, and education and address community needs to enhance our Valley as a place to live, work, and visit. You, our volunteers, play a critical role in our ability to achieve that mission.

When you register online using the Volunteer Portal, we will use that email address to send you confirmations, schedules, and newsletter updates. We will use your cell phone number if we need to reach you by phone. We also have a good text messaging system and we strongly encourage you to opt-in for this service. You can also always login to your Volunteer Profile to view your schedule and additional volunteer information.
