Sure, beating hearts – usually of the 100-plus beats per minute variety – can be found on every trail, stream, stage and pathway throughout the Vail Valley during the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado. But the collective embodiment of the event’s heart and spirit has its own special place this summer – the CoLab Creator Stage.
Here, you might find YouTube sensation Marty Music performing a lightning-fast guitar riff; runner Mirna Valerio amping up the crowd on adrenaline pursuits for all body types; Brodie the world’s most famous TikTok goldendoodle prancing around looking for hugs; or outdoor survivalist Laura Zerra demonstrating how to build a shelter out of branches.

Situated in Solaris near the newly returned slackline invitational action, the CoLab Creator Stage will feature a constant flow of mind-blowing entertainment and presentations from revered athletes, artists and outdoorspeople.
“One of the beautiful things about the Mountain Games are the amazingly different humans and dogs that come through and become friends and family,” says GoPro Mountain Games Event Director Dave Dressman. “A lot of them have a big reach and following and are authentic to the outdoor lifestyle and mountain world. We saw an opportunity to double down on that.”
The CoLab will churn out an ever-changing brand of expert-fueled adrenaline every day of the GoPro Mountain Games with presentations, panels and performances. The bounty of wows remains to be seen once each individual hits the stage. Blind mountaineer Rafa Jaime will come to Vail fresh from attempting Mt. Everest. Adventure Chef Adam Glick has a rare talent to whip up something delicious from foraged forest ingredients. Explorer Andrew King has endless stories of big waves he’s surfed and massive mountains he’s climbed. The Handpan Man can hypnotize the crowd (as he’s done his 8 million TikTok fans) with his steel drum beats. Timmy Ham might shake up an impromptu spray paint masterpiece. Chris Davenport can tell you about how he skied all of Colorado’s 14ers (54 of them) in one year. Abby Wren takes body painting to a striking new level. Climber Lynn Hill has all the thrilling specifics of a free ascent up the notorious Nose of El Capitan. “The hope is that some spontaneity occurs,” Dressman says of the lineup. “We’re really excited about the CoLab. It’s new, it’s fun. Each one of these individuals fits the Mountain Games really well. There’s the onsite component, but also the digital approach. Anyone who doesn’t catch the CoLab activations live can see them online. We’re getting authentic, rad people out to provide expertise and to entertain.”
