Original Programming Special: The 2018 GoPro Mountain Games
Celebrating Adventure Sports and the Mountain Lifestyle
WESTPORT, CT (Sept. 5, 2018) — Outside TV, the official content-production partner of the 2018 GoPro Mountain Games, is proud to unveil an original programming special chronicling the action from the best all-around mountain experience available anywhere in the world: the GoPro Mountain Games. The special will air in its entirety on Sept. 4, premiering at 8 p.m. EST, exclusively on both their broadcast network Outside TV and streaming app, Outside TV Features.
Each year, more than 3,500 pro and amateur adventure athletes sign up and converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail, Colorado to compete in 11 disciplines in more than 30 competitions including kayaking, running, slackline, DockDogs, trail running, mountain and road cycling, climbing, photography and more. More than 80,000 spectators also attend and enjoy the spectacular entertainment, free concerts, art and expos throughout the event.
Outside TV, the leader in adventure sports and outdoor videos, and the GoPro Mountain Games are natural partners. With this alliance, Outside TV is able to authentically showcase this celebration of mountain culture to a national audience. The special, hosted by Chris Davenport and Amy Purdy, includes in-depth interviews from the Outside TV studio in Vail Village with the biggest personalities of the Mountain Games. From the individual sports and competitions to the various athlete story lines, along with all the family fun, adventures and enthusiasm captured in between, this special on the GoPro Mountain Games is a must-watch whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or not.
