The 2020 Mountain Games Elements: Disc Golf Tournament is a one-day tournament at Cross Creek Disc Golf Course in Gypsum, CO. Please visit crosscreekdiscgolf.com for directions and course information.

Each player will participate in two stroke play rounds throughout the day with lunch provided by Moe’s Original BBQ and player pack with a Disc Mania custom event disc.

We’re breaking out your favorite summer events from the Mountain Games on select Saturdays beginning July 18. We have a limited capacity so register early to reserve your spot!

Round 1

• 8:00am – Check-in opens
• 8:45am – Check-in closes and players meeting to immediately follow
• 9:00am – Tee Off

*Lunch will be provided by Moe’s Original BBQ to all participants and will be available after the conclusion of Round 1

Round 2

• 1:15pm – Players meeting for final round
• 1:30pm – Tee Off (approx. time)

The GoPro Mountain Games Elements: Disc Golf will most likely sell out, so early registration is recommended. We will create a wait list for those hoping to still participate if spots become available. Full refunds will only be given if a player drops out no later than 12:00pm (Noon) Saturday, August 15, which is one week before the event date.  You must communicate to registration@vvf.org your intention of dropping by the deadline.

No on-site registration.

FORMAT

• The 2020 Mountain Masters Disc Golf Tournament is a one-day event. Each player will participate in two (2) stroke play rounds.
• The competition for all athletes will begin at 9:00am on Saturday, August 22.
• All players will play both rounds and final results will be a combination of both rounds scores.
• This event is not PDGA sanctioned.
• Competition details – including format and scoring – are subject to change.

RULES:

• Players must use their own discs for all phases of the competition.
• Stroke Play Scoring:
  • Each round will follow standard PDGA stroke play rules. Your score is the total number of throws required to finish the round, plus any penalty strokes.
  • Late arrivals will be allowed to join their cards but will be given a score of par plus 4 strokes for each hole they miss.
• Players must agree not to participate if they have any illness symptoms. Full refunds will be provided to any participant who needs to cancel due to illness.
• All players must wear a face covering during check-in and during the players meeting.
• Social Distancing will be strictly enforced.
• Once cards are distributed and you are walking toward your first hole, you may remove your face covering, but you must always maintain at least six feet of distance between all other players on your card.
• Players are welcome and encouraged to wear face coverings for the entire round.
• Face coverings will again be required when turning in scorecards.
• No spectators will be allowed to walk with groups.
• Cards will be a maximum of four players each.
• Please choose one person at the beginning of the round to keep score for your group for the entire round. Avoid passing the scorecard around during the round and while scoring at the end. Place it on the ground if players would like to review the card and/or check their score (one at a time).
• Do not touch anyone else’s disc(s). This includes removing discs from the basket.
• Avoid all physical contact – this includes hugs, handshakes, high fives and fist bumps.
• There will not be any drinking water available on the course – bring all water and sustenance you will need for the day with you. Please pack out all trash.
• Keep your discs and bags at least six feet apart. No sharing of water bottles, food, minis, birdie bags, towels, etc.
• Hand sanitation stations will be provided at registration area
• Players and spectators not willing to follow these guidelines will be ordered to leave the venue.
• Cross Creek Disc Golf Course is a non-smoking facility. Players will be able to smoke inside of their parked cars in the parking lot only.
• Dogs are not allowed on the course.

All participants and staff of the GoPro Mountain Games must wear a face covering when 6 feet of distance cannot be kept from non-household members and must follow the Eagle County 5 Commitments of Containment:

1. I will maintain 6 feet of physical distance
2. I will wash my hands often
3. I will cover my face in public
4. I will stay home when I am sick
5. I will get tested immediately if I have symptoms

COVID-19 WARNING:

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and customers with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By participating in the Mountain Games Elements events, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

PAYOUT

Cash payout will be available to both the Men & Women categories. Payout schedule will be determined after registration closes.
