In 2005, Rafa Ortiz became the first Mexican kayaker to compete in the World Freestyle Championships. Since then, he’s become famous for “chasing” and paddling over 100-foot waterfalls across the globe. You might know him from starring in Chasing Niagara, the top documentary on Netflix and iTunes in 2016. He returns to the Mountain Games this June to try his skills on what’s sure to be raging water in the Steep Creek Championship.
