Parking
Single day parking is still free this summer at Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures. However, you will need to take a ticket to help the Town of Vail collect information about parking use. Please remember to KEEP YOUR TICKET, you will need it to exit the structure. There will be a $25 overnight fee for vehicles parked in the structures between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Details HERE.
Paid parking is available farther east on S. Frontage Road at Ford Park. Free public bus transit to and from parking areas is also provided by the Town of Vail.
Overflow parking on the north side of the South Frontage Road will be allowed once both parking structures are full. No parking will be allowed on the south side of the Frontage Road at any time. For up to date parking information, please visit vaileventparking.com or download the free Vail app.

BLODGETT:
Elevation 8,900 feet
A small forested campground located at the mouth of Homestake Valley and 18.9 Miles from Vail Village, this is dispersed camping with no available facilities. Homestake Creek is within walking distance for fishing. There are several trailheads within close driving distance.
CAMP HALE:
Elevation 9,200 feet
Situated in a wide, flat valley surrounded by mountains, this campground is near the headwaters of the Eagle River and located 24 miles from Vail Village. The campground is sparsely timbered with lodgepole pine. There are opportunities for fishing, mountain bike riding, rock climbing and hiking. Group and individual sites in the campground can be reserved. More information.
GOLD PARK:
Elevation 9,300 feet
This forested campground is located in the Homestake Valley along Homestake Creek and is 25.5 miles from Vail Village. There are several trailheads near this campground. More information.
GORE CREEK:
Elevation 8,700 feet
Located in a forested canyon along Gore Creek, this campground is the most popular in the district because of its close proximity to Vail Village at only 6.7 miles away. Nearby there are several trails into the Eagle’s Nest Wilderness, and the Vail Pass – Ten Mile Canyon Recreation Trail is right at the entrance to the campground. More information.
HORNSILVER:
Elevation 8,800 feet
Right off Highway 24, between Minturn and Leadville 17.3 miles from Vail Village, this campground lies along Homestake Creek in a forested setting. More information.
LOST LAKE / PINEY RIVER RANCH:
Located on the north side of the town of Vail off Red Sandstone Road, this White River National Forest offers access to mountain biking trails and trout fishing in Lost Lake and Piney Lake. Camping is dispersed on the commute to Piney River Ranch and mileage is dependent upon chosen camping location.
SYLVAN LAKE STATE PARK:
Elevation 8,500 feet
Two separate campgrounds on this beautiful 115-acre park put visitors close to trout fishing and boating on a 40-acre lake. The park is located 16 miles south of Eagle on West Brush Creek Road and 35 miles from Vail Village. Cabins available. More information.

Town of Vail Dog Rules
Dogs must be on a leash within the Town of Vail, in Vail Village, Lionshead Mall and on all bike paths. Also, please refrain from tethering your dog. It is unlawful in the Town of Vail and it is also unsafe for your pup to be left alone and unsupervised. Lastly, be a good neighbor and pick up after your dog – don’t make us call the “poolice” on you…

Public Restrooms are available in both the Vail Village and Lionshead Parking Structures, at Mountain Plaza, at the southern end of Wall Street in Vail Village, across from the Lionshead Ticket Office, and at Main Registration (Golden Peak Base Lodge).
